Ernest Adoh is a Cameroonian-born Gospel painter and visual storyteller, currently based in Canada. With over two decades of artistic experience, Ernest works primarily in oils and acrylics, creating landscapes, still life, and portraits that interpret Scripture through visual form. His art is rooted in the conviction that while words may be heard or read and forgotten, what is seen has the power to remain, shape thought, and transform lives.

Largely self-taught, Ernest’s artistic journey has been strengthened through formal and vocational training. In 2014, he completed a vocational diploma course in arts at the Center for Arts, Design & Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Arts, University of Buea, Cameroon. He later undertook an intensive six-month painting program in 2015 with SLYEDE Arts Studio and Gallery in Aba, Nigeria. These experiences, combined with years of disciplined practice, have shaped his confident and expressive visual language for more than two decades.

Ernest is the founder of Zion Arts World, an art platform dedicated to sacred visual expression, guided by the motto “Renewing the Mindset.” As a Gospel painter, his work seeks to translate biblical truth into imagery that invites reflection, worship, and renewed thinking. His primary sources of inspiration are the Bible, nature, and the surrounding environment. He believes there should be a Zion Arts World canvas or poster on every wall for daily inspiration. His favorite quote captures the heart of his mission: “It is the picture you paint of a scripture that shapes your future.”

Beyond the studio, Ernest is a pastor with over fifteen years of ministry experience. He is also a John Maxwell Certified Coach, Speaker, and Trainer (2024), and is currently pursuing studies in Christian Counselling at Canada Christian College & School of Graduate Theological Studies. These roles deeply inform his artistic practice, as his passion lies in helping people discover, understand, and maximize their God-given potential in order to pursue vision and purpose for their lives.

Ernest is married to his beloved wife, Vivian, and together they are blessed with a wonderful daughter, Flourish. His family remains his greatest joy and a constant source of inspiration in both life and art.
